Finn Garden is a public workshop for building, launching, and growing small internet products.
The idea is simple: instead of writing about startups, marketing, development, or distribution from a purely theoretical point of view, everything starts with something that has actually been built and shipped. Products are launched, put in front of real users, tested in the real world, and improved based on what actually happens after launch.
Everything learned along the way gets documented publicly.
That includes the tactics that worked, the experiments that failed completely, the unexpected results, the wrong assumptions, and whenever possible, the actual numbers behind them. Traffic, conversion rates, replies, signups, rankings, acquisition costs, retention, distribution results and everything else that helps separate a good story from something that genuinely works.
On the build side, Finn Garden publishes practical articles about the tools, technologies and decisions involved in shipping products as a solo founder. That can mean honest comparisons between tools, detailed stack breakdowns, infrastructure choices, AI workflows, development shortcuts, automation systems, and feedback on what still works once a product moves beyond the prototype stage and starts running in production.
The goal is not to review tools from their landing pages. It is to explain what happens after using them for weeks or months inside real projects.
The same approach applies to marketing.
Finn Garden documents experiments around cold email, prospecting, follow-up sequences, positioning, landing pages, distribution, social media, SEO, GEO, backlinks, directories, programmatic content and other acquisition channels. Some experiments generate users. Some generate nothing. Both are useful to understand.
Rather than presenting polished success stories after the fact, the objective is to show the process while it is happening: what was tried, why it was tried, what happened, what changed afterwards, and whether the experiment was worth the time or money invested.
There are also behind-the-scenes updates about the products themselves: what is being built, how decisions are made, why features are added or removed, what users are asking for, where development time is being wasted, and how the products evolve once real people start using them.
Finn Garden is therefore less of a traditional blog and more of an ongoing public laboratory.
If you're a solo founder, indie hacker, developer or maker building your own products, the goal is to give you access to the kind of information that normally takes months of trial and error to discover yourself.
You can see what worked before trying it, understand why something failed before making the same mistake, and hopefully avoid wasting weeks on tactics, tools or ideas that look promising from the outside but do not survive contact with reality.
The newsletter brings together the most useful findings, experiments and lessons from the workshop. It focuses on what is working right now, what appears to be changing, and what seems worth testing next.
No fluff. No recycled startup advice. No generic playbooks rewritten from someone else's playbook.
Everything comes from actual products, actual launches and actual experiments.
And everything is free to read.
