Gamut is a platform for building and running personal AI agents that work for you autonomously in the background, each inside its own secure, containerized sandbox. Instead of relying on a single generalist assistant expected to do everything, Gamut lets you assemble a team of specialized agents, each purpose-built for one job and equipped with its own instructions, memory, connected accounts, skills, and permission policies.
Every Gamut agent runs inside its own isolated container, a virtual computer it fully controls. Inside that sandbox it can execute code, install packages, read and write files, run shell commands, browse the web, and build small agentic apps, all without ever touching your host machine. When an agent needs to act in the real world, it connects to your accounts, Gmail, Slack, GitHub, Salesforce, Google Drive, and dozens more, through OAuth. Critically, agents never see your API keys or tokens: every request is proxied outside the container, you decide which calls are allowed, reviewed, or blocked, and every action is written to a full audit trail.
Gamut agents are built for deep, long-running work rather than one-off replies. They are optimized to drive your real browser, navigating the genuine complexity of the modern web as if you were behind the mouse, using your logged-in sessions and bypassing bot detection. When too much back-and-forth would waste your time, agents proactively build custom interfaces and interactive dashboards instead of forcing everything through chat. They can be scheduled with cron expressions or triggered by webhooks so they serve you without prompting, and they can discover, create, and invoke other agents to decompose complex workflows across specialists.
As your agents develop reusable capabilities, you can package them into skillsets, Git-backed skill libraries your whole organization can install in a single click, so every win compounds into the next. People and agents collaborate side by side in shared threads, and agents reach you in the messaging tools you already use, including Slack, Telegram, and iMessage, carrying full context across channels.
Gamut runs as a desktop app for Mac and Windows, managing containers through Docker, OrbStack, or Podman, or as a self-hosted web app and server with multi-user, role-based access control for teams. It is built on the Claude Agent SDK and runs on Claude Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku, with a per-message choice of model. The most productive teams use Gamut to punch above their weight and get real, meaningful work done, turning ambitious goals into outcomes their agents deliver autonomously.
