## About Inkling

Inkling is a native notes app that lives in your MacBook's notch. Hover over the notch or press Option-N, jot the thought down, and Command-Return tucks it away. A small companion called Ink gives a nod. Notes, lists and ideas stay a glance away, so you can catch a thought without leaving what you are doing.

Key Features

Right in your notch: open it from the notch or with a shortcut, write, and get back to your day. Come back to the same note when you need it. Macs without a physical notch get a virtual one.

Room for more: a quick list can become a proper plan, with headings, checkboxes, links, highlights, quotes, code and tables, all from the notch. Tables take rows and columns, Tab to move, and cells pasted from a spreadsheet.

A softer start: begin with a daily scratchpad, meeting, project or journal template, or save a useful note as your own template.

A way back: pin what matters, find a phrase, follow a tag or a link to another note, and revisit a previous version when an idea takes a turn.

Meet Ink: a pair of curious eyes in your notch. A blink, a glance, a tiny nod when you are done. Choose Lively, Calm or Still.

Make it yours: two themes and five accent colors.

Privacy

Your notes live on your Mac, and writing and searching work offline. iCloud sync between your Macs is optional and off by default, through your own private iCloud. There is no Inkling account and no analytics tracking.

Take your thoughts with you

Import Markdown. Export notes as Markdown, rich text or PDF. Daily local backups give your library another place to land. When the trial ends, every note stays yours to read, search, copy and export.
