Unscript is an English speaking practice app for iPhone, built for learners who know the words but hesitate when it is time to speak. Practise the same real-life conversation through four levels: read the full line, fill missing words, use first-letter hints, then speak from the meaning alone.

Word-by-word scoring shows what you missed. Replay your own voice beside a model reading, look up words in the built-in glossary, and revisit conversations with spaced repetition. Speech recognition runs on your iPhone; recordings stay on the device for the current practice session. No account or ads are required, and optional progress sync uses your own iCloud.

The library covers 562 dialogues across 61 situations. The free tier includes 44 dialogues and all four practice levels. Unscript Pro unlocks the full library through a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Available in English and Simplified Chinese on iPhone with iOS 17 or later.

A practice session moves from reading a complete sentence to producing it with less help. To clear a line, the learner can miss at most one word. The built-in glossary contains 2,582 entries with definitions and pronunciation. Finished dialogues return through spaced repetition, helping learners revisit conversations over time. Recordings are kept only for the current session and deleted when the learner leaves it. This makes Unscript a focused tool for practising aloud, noticing missed words, and becoming more comfortable speaking familiar English conversations.
