Proviand is a Shopify app that turns a store's sales history into reorder suggestions and purchase orders. Every recommendation shows its work: velocity, seasonality, lead time, and safety stock. Merchants get one buying table sorted by who runs out first, then create purchase orders by supplier, email them, track incoming stock, and receive full or partial deliveries into Shopify inventory.
Shopify shut down Stocky, its free forecasting and purchase-order tool, on 31 August 2026. Many small and mid merchants were left choosing between a spreadsheet and a heavier suite. Proviand is built for that gap: install it, pull in about a year of sales history, tick the rows that need buying, and raise a PO without a setup marathon.
Features include an explainable buying table, purchase orders that close the loop from create to receive, Stocky CSV import for POs and suppliers, and a morning digest of what needs reordering. Pricing is flat: Free (up to 50 SKUs), then $29, $49, and $99 a month. No per-order fees and no forced annual contract.
Proviand has been live in the Shopify App Store since 13 July 2026. Primary site: https://tryproviand.com. App Store listing: https://apps.shopify.com/proviand. Built by Philip Wallage at BTNG.studio in Deventer for small and mid Shopify merchants who outgrew Stocky or a spreadsheet and want the answer in minutes.
