Turismo La Paz Bolivia is an independent, reader-funded travel guide to La Paz, Bolivia, published in Spanish and English. It is written for travelers who want to plan a real trip rather than read a brochure: what to see, how many days to stay, what things cost in bolivianos and US dollars, how to deal with the altitude, and how to actually get there from Peru, Chile or Argentina. The city pages cover the main sights and neighborhoods, including Mi Teleferico, the Witches' Market, Valle de la Luna, cholita wrestling and El Alto, with practical notes on opening times, transport and safety. Day trips are covered in depth, from the Death Road and the ruins of Tiwanaku to Huayna Potosi and the cloud forest around Coroico. Longer journeys out of the city are explained too, including the Uyuni salt flats, Lake Titicaca and Rurrenabaque in the Amazon basin. A dedicated planning section handles altitude sickness, the El Alto airport, visas and entry rules, currency, weather and the current travel situation, with 2026 costs listed in both currencies so you can budget before you fly. The site is bilingual: Spanish is the root version and an English edition lives at /en/, so the same guides work for local and international readers. It is not owned by any tour operator or booking platform. The guide stays independent and reader-funded, earning commissions only when readers choose to book through its links.
