Video2URL is a browser-based platform designed to upload and share videos, images, and PDFs as accessible web links. In an ordinary workflow, a user navigates to the web interface, selects and uploads supported media files directly from their browser, and receives a generated URL to distribute to recipients. Uploaded links are unlisted by default, meaning that anyone with the URL can access and view the hosted file unless additional protection is configured.
To manage access permissions and file lifecycles, users can enable password protection so that viewers must enter a password before viewing the shared content. Users can also configure expiration controls to determine how long a shared link remains active. In addition, the platform includes view analytics, allowing users to monitor visitor engagement and track total views on their links. Video2URL offers both free and paid plans, with available features and capabilities varying by tier.
The service supports several practical use cases across different audiences. Content creators can share video drafts, rough edits, and previews with clients or reviewers to gather feedback. Collaborative teams can share visual files, design assets, and project materials across departments to streamline internal communication and handoffs. Furthermore, developers on eligible plans can integrate file sharing into external systems and automation pipelines using the provided REST API and Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoints.
