xyOps Workflow Automation Platform

Introduction

xyOps™ is a comprehensive, next-generation workflow automation system designed to streamline and orchestrate complex IT operations. It integrates job scheduling, system monitoring, alerting, and incident ticketing into a unified platform, enabling teams to operate with confidence and efficiency. Whether managing a handful of servers or thousands, xyOps provides the tools necessary to automate, monitor, and respond to system events seamlessly.

Features

• Advanced Job Scheduling: Reimagined beyond traditional cron, xyOps allows precise control over job execution across fleets, supporting multiple schedules, one-time jobs, and plugin-based extensions. It enables parallel execution, custom queues, and conditional logic to optimize workflows.
• Visual Workflow Builder: A graphical interface enables users to create complex pipelines by connecting events, triggers, actions, and monitors. Data and files can be passed between steps, with options for conditional branching and limiters like timeouts and resource caps.
• Comprehensive Monitoring & Alerts: Customizable dashboards and monitors track CPU, memory, network, disk, and logs at both server and group levels. Smart alerting rules notify users instantly via email, webhooks, or custom notifications, with snapshot context and escalation options.
• Integrated Ticketing System: Automatically generate tickets for incidents or failed jobs, attach relevant files, and trigger remediation workflows. Fully scriptable via API, it supports incident management and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Extensible Plugin Architecture: Write plugins in any language using a simple JSON API, expanding xyOps capabilities. Access a marketplace of community and official plugins, including integrations with services like GitHub, Slack, Twilio, and more.
• Scalability & Redundancy: Supports high availability with hot backups and scales to thousands of worker servers. Agents can be installed on multiple OS platforms, ensuring reliable operation at any scale.

Use Cases

1. Individual Users: Developers or sysadmins can automate routine tasks, monitor system health, and respond quickly to alerts, reducing manual effort and minimizing downtime.
2. Small Teams & Startups: Teams can coordinate complex workflows, manage incident response, and ensure system reliability without extensive infrastructure investments, thanks to easy setup and comprehensive features.
3. Large Enterprises: Organizations managing extensive server fleets benefit from scalable job scheduling, detailed monitoring, and automated incident management, improving operational efficiency and reducing response times.
