## What is Checkpointr?

Checkpointr is a player-powered game discovery and tracking app for people who want a better way to organize what they play and decide what to play next.

Most players do not keep their gaming life in one clean place. Their games may be spread across Steam, GOG, Epic, consoles, handhelds, mobile, emulators, older systems, physical collections, wishlists, and scattered backlogs. Checkpointr is built to bring those pieces together.

With Checkpointr, players can track games from any platform, create checkpoints while playing, build custom lists, write and read reviews, follow friends, join groups, track prices, and discover games based on their own gaming taste.

## Why I built it

The app is built around one simple question:

What should I play next?

Checkpointr is not just a place to log games as played or completed. The bigger idea is that everything a player does should make discovery better.

The games you track, save, review, list, like, recommend, and actually play all become part of your taste profile. Over time, Checkpointr can help you understand your own gaming habits, find games that fit you, discover players with similar taste, and make better decisions about what to play next.

## Pricing and beta

Checkpointr is free to use. Core features such as tracking, discovery, lists, reviews, friends, groups, checkpoints, recommendations, and the main app experience are not planned to require Premium.

Premium is planned to be cosmetic only.

Checkpointr is currently in a small closed Android beta, with iOS planned later.
